Commemorative Issue

Commonwealth Parliamentary Meetings

Australia
This stamp set commemorates the Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference and the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) which this year will be held in Australia in September and October respectively.

The design was created using the names of the Commonwealth member countries. By varying the colour of the text, the designer has created graphic images for each stamp. The CHOGM design shows Australia in its position on the globe. The Parliamentary Conference design includes the Southern Cross. When viewed as a block of four, the design reveals another image (the entire globe) within the overall design.
