Manikato (b.1975) was a champion racehorse for five years. A powerhouse galloper, he won the William Reid Stakes at Moonee Valley five years in a row, the last time in 1983 as a sevenyear- old in heatwave conditions. Six weeks later he came out and won the Futurity Stakes at Caulfield, his fourth win in that event.

Might and Power (b.1993) has been compared with champions such as Tulloch and Kingston Town. In 1997 he won the Caulfield Cup, by a record 7.5 lengths, and the Melbourne Cup. In the following year, he stormed home in the W S Cox Plate, slashing a full two seconds off the record set only the year before.
